PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a body motion detection sensor and a body motion detecting method using a piezoelectric film with high detection accuracy and having a structure permitting miniaturization.
SOLUTION: The body motion detection sensor detects the body motion with the output voltage generated from the extension/contraction of the piezoelectric film, and includes a cover member to house the piezoelectric film, a band member connected to the cover member, a winding member 4, a rotationally engaging member 5, and an annular elastic member to be rotationally engaged with the winding member and rotationally engaging member. A first end of the piezoelectric film is wound around the winding member, and a second end of the piezoelectric film is connected to an end of the band member. The body motion detection sensor is used in the method of detecting the body motion.
