A polyamide suture includes an elongate core formed of multiple twisted and beat set filaments formed of a first polyamide material and a sheath forced of a second polyarmde material sorrounding the core along its length, the second polyamide material having dispersed therein non-absorbable radiopaque nanoparticles comprising 15-25% by weight, of the second poiyarnide material. The melting point of the first polyamide material is at least 30° C greater than the melting point of the second polyamide material. The core may also include or be formed of previously extruded bundles of first polyamide filaments overcoated with a second polyamide sheath. The suture is made by coextruding the core arid a molten organic material formed of the second polyamide material and dispersed radiopaque nanoparticles. Desirably, the first polyamide matenal its polyamide 66 and the second polyamide material is polyamide 6.La présente invention concerne un fil de suture en polyamide comprenant une âme allongée formée de multiples filaments torsadés et stabilisés thermiquement, formés dun premier matériau de polyamide, et une gaine formée dun second matériau de polyamide entourant lâme sur sa longueur, le second matériau de polyamide contenant une dispersion de nanoparticules radio-opaques non absorbables comprenant de 15 à 25 % en poids du second matériau de polyamide. Le point de fusion du premier matériau de polyamide est supérieur dau moins 30 °C au point de fusion du second matériau de polyamide. Lâme peut également comprendre ou être formée de faisceaux préalablement extrudés des premiers filaments de polyamide recouverts dune seconde gaine de polyamide. Le fil de suture est fabriqué en co-extrudant lâme et un matériau organique fondu formé du second matériau de polyamide et de nanoparticules radio-opaques dispersées. De préférence, le premier matériau de polyamide est du polyamide 66 et le second matériau de polyamide est du polyamide 6.
