PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catheter allowing a user to easily and securely confirm a rotating state of a front end portion.SOLUTION: The front end portion of the catheter 10 with a built-in cylindrical marker 100 which does not transmit electromagnetic waves such as X rays is rotated and bent by the operation of a prescribed mechanism in a rear end portion at hand. As a different-shaped projection 110 asymmetrical to the center line in the axial direction is disposed in at least one of the front edge and rear edge of the marker 100 in the axial direction, the rotating state of the front end of the catheter 10 can be confirmed by an X-ray imaging apparatus, etc. In this way, the rotating state of the front end portion can be securely confirmed even if the slender catheter 10 is twisted and the rotation of the rear end portion does not completely synchronize with the rotation of the front end portion.COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT【課題】前端部分の回転状態を体外から簡単かつ確実に確認することができるカテーテルを提供する。【解決手段】カテーテル10は、エックス線等の電磁波を透過しない円筒状のマーカー100が内蔵されている前端部分が後端部分の所定機構の手元操作で回転および屈曲する。ただし、マーカー100の前縁部と後縁部との少なくとも一方に軸心方向の中心線で非対称の異形凸部110が軸心方向に突設されているので、カテーテル10の前端部分の回転状態をレントゲン装置などで確認することができる。このため、長く細いカテーテル10が捻れて後端部分と前端部分との回転が完全に同期しないような場合でも、前端部分の回転状態を確実に確認することができる。【選択図】図1
