PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a hard capsule having improved solubility in water and hardness and a method for producing the same, wherein the hard capsule contains Hypromellose as a base agent.
SOLUTION: The hard capsule contains, in addition to Hypromellose, at least one selected from the group consisting of monosaccharide, disaccharide, and starch, as film components. The hard capsule is prepared by a dipping method using a capsule-preparing solution containing, in addition to Hypromellose, at least one selected from the group consisting of monosaccharide, disaccharide, and starch.
