PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic clinical thermometer allowing body temperature to be measured in a mouth without causing an infant to get tired thereof.SOLUTION: A measured region for this electronic clinical thermometer is the interior of an infant's mouth. This electronic clinical thermometer includes; a measurement part including a temperature measuring part and equipped with a pacifier function and a body temperature measuring function; and a body part equipped with a controller and a display, the measured region being the interior of the infant's mouth. The measurement part is removable from the body part. When the measurement part is removed from the body part, a power supply for the body part is turned on. Further, a prescribed time period after the power supply is turned on, a prescribed electromagnetic wave is generated from the body part, and a body temperature value measured by the measurement part is read to display the temperature value on the display. Furthermore, during a time period between when the power supply is turned on and when the temperature value is displayed, a character is animation-displayed on the display.
