PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope support device capable of optionally adjusting the distance of an endoscope from an affected area and permitting observation of the affected area always as an erected image from an arbitrary viewpoint and distance.
SOLUTION: The endoscope support device has two guide members supported in a support means 1. Each guide member is curved in the shape of an arc at a fixed curvature, and the guiding directions of the guide members orthogonally cross each other. The endoscope also has a first movable member, a second movable member and an endoscope holder. The first movable member moves in an attitude always facing a fixed point which is the center of curvature of the arc. The second movable member is guided by the second guide member 8 supported by the first movable member, and moves in an attitude with the axis orthogonally crossing the guiding direction always facing the fixed point in the second guiding direction which is curved in the shape of the arc at the fixed curvature around the fixed point in the direction orthogonally crossing the first guiding direction. The endoscope holder is supported in the second movable member in such a way as movable in the axial direction of the second movable member, and a straight-tube-shaped base part of the endoscope is held by the endoscope holder with the center line of the straight tube part matching the axis of the second movable member.
