The invention is concerned with methods and compositions for treatinginsomnia, and provides a dosage form containing a drug substance useful in thetreatment of insomnia, the dosage form being adapted to release said drugsubstance after a lag time during which substantially no drug substance isreleased, the lag time being about at least one hour after administration ofthe dosage form.
