The invention provides a sterilizable pouch having at least one wall formed of a flexible film and including an opening formed therein for providing communication to an interior space of the package. A breathable material is disposed on an outer surface of the wall covering the opening. The breathable material is joined to the outer surface of the wall with a continuous heat seal. The flexible film forming the wall comprises a multilayer film having a peel feature that permits the breathable material to be peelably removed from the surface of the pouch.Linvention concerne une poche pouvant être stérilisée ayant au moins une paroi formée dun film souple et comprenant une ouverture formée à lintérieur de celle-ci pour établir une communication avec un espace intérieur de lemballage. Un matériau respirant est disposé sur une surface externe de la paroi recouvrant louverture. Le matériau respirant est relié à la surface externe de la paroi à laide dun thermo-scellage continu. Le film souple formant la paroi comprend un film multicouche ayant une caractéristique de décollement qui permet au matériau respirant dêtre retiré par décollement de la surface de la poche.
