A clone BM095 having a potent proliferation-inhibiting activity is obtained from a human antibody phage library in an IL-31-dependent Ba/Fc cell proliferation assay system. When the anti-mouse NR10 neutralizing antibody is administered to a pruritus model mouse, a significant effect of preventing the conditions of the disease is observed. It is revealed that the anti-NR10 neutralizing antibody is useful as a therapeutic agent for pruritus.
