An object of the present invention is to provide a user authentication device using an electrocardiogram (ECG) signal. The device, which comprises a pad, an ECG detection module, an authentication memory module, and a near-field communication module, is attached to user&prime；s skin for ECG measurement. Then, the device determines whether or not pre-input personal ECG information of the user corresponds to an ECG measurement value of an ECG-measured user to determine whether or not the user is an authenticated user. As a result, the present invention is capable of improving security based on reduced concerns of loss. In addition, the present invention requires no expensive recognition equipment, and thus manufacturing cost reduction can be achieved.
