PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a guide wire capable of securing adequate flexibility and of suppressing displacement of a bent portion from a tip side to a base end side even in the case of collision with a lesioned part.SOLUTION: The guide wire 10 includes a shaft 12 and a first coil body 20 wound around a tip of the shaft 12. The first coil body 20 is formed by winding a stranded wire 22 that is a plurality of twisted element wires 21.
