PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for improving purification effect in a purification device using a photocatalyst.SOLUTION: A purification device 10 comprises a substrate (a first substrate 30a and a second substrate 30b) on which a photocatalyst is carried, and light-emitting elements 42a, 42b installed within openings 34a, 34b opened in the surfaces 32a, 32b of the substrate (the first substrate 30a and the second substrate 30b) to emit ultraviolet light to the outside of the openings 34a, 34b. The purification device 10 may further include the second substrate 30b on which the photocatalyst is carried and which faces the surface 32a of the first substrate 30a.
