The present invention refers to a pharmaceutical composition of sildenafil citrate in the form of a suspension for administration orally that comprises water as a vehicle and xanthan gum and hypromellose as suspension agents, that is highly stable and allows the efficient masking of the active ingredients bitter taste. It also refers to a procedure for the preparation of said suspension and to a container that contains it and that is provided with a dosing device for its administration. This composition of sildenafil citrate in the form of a suspension is suitable for administration orally for the treatment of masculine sexual dysfunction.
