To provide a dead body storage device capable of storing a dead body in a non-frozen state without applying particular processing to a coffin.SOLUTION: The device comprises: a dead body storage 10 which defines an internal space in which a coffin CK containing a dead body can be stored, the internal space being insulated thermally from the external environment； internal temperature control means which circulates cold air in the internal space and controls the temperature in the internal space to a set temperature in the range of -4°C or higher and lower than 0°C； space potential generating means which discharges static electricity from electrostatic discharge means 53 installed in the internal space into the internal space and forms an electric field in the internal space； and sterilization and deodorization means 55 which reduces bacteria and odor in the internal space.
