The present invention relates to an animal model for evaluating skin toxicity using earthworm, and relates to a method for evaluating skin toxicity using the same. More specifically, the present invention relates to a method for observing the presence of skin stimulation by applying a substance to be tested on the skin surface of earthworm and observing the skin with a microscope. The method uses a small amount compared to a substance amount to be tested used in the conventional animal experiment, thereby effectively pre-screening the skin stimulation in a short period of time, and reducing costs, labor force, time, and ethical problems used in the skin stimulation animal experiment.본 발명은 지렁이를 이용한 피부 독성 평가용 동물모델 및 이를 이용한 피부 독성 평가방법에 관한 것이다. 구체적으로 지렁이 피부 표면에 피검물질을 도포하고 피부를 현미경으로 관찰하여 피부 자극 여부를 관찰하는 방법에 관한 것으로써 기존 동물실험에 사용하는 피검물질 양보다 소량을 사용해 짧은 시간 내 피부 자극 가능성을 효과적으로 예비-스크리닝(pre-screening) 할 수 있으며 피부자극 동물실험에 드는 비용, 노동, 시간 및 윤리적 문제를 줄일 수 있다.
