PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively reduce an artifact that appears in an ultrasonic image.SOLUTION: An ultrasonic measurement apparatus includes a probe for transmitting/receiving an ultrasonic wave and an arithmetic processing part for subjecting a reception signal of the probe to arithmetic processing. The arithmetic processing part includes a reception wave estimation part for calculating an estimated reception signal by computing propagation of the ultrasonic wave for a given reflectance distribution in an object region, a reflectance distribution data update part for updating the reflectance distribution based on a difference between the reception signal and the estimated reception signal, and an ultrasonic image generation part for generating an ultrasonic image of the object region using the reflectance distribution.
