PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mandrel for manufacturing a metal stent in which a stent base material can be prevented from being damaged when the stent base material is diametrically enlarged.SOLUTION: A mandrel 90 for manufacturing a metal stent comprises a first member 10 having: a first tapered part 12 whose outer diameter increases from a first insertion diameter D1F to a first expansion diameter D1R; and a first straight body part 14 which is connected to the first tapered part 12 on the side where the first tapered part 12 has the first expansion diameter D1R and which has an outer diameter being the first expansion diameter D1R.
