The present invention relates to a composition for muscle regeneration containing ginsenosides Rb1 and Rb2, wherein the composition can be a pharmaceutical composition for treating or preventing muscle atrophy or muscle cancer, or a food composition for alleviating or relieving muscle atrophy or muscle cancer. The composition modulates the activity of MyoD, a muscle transcription factor, to induce differentiation of myoblasts into myotubes, induce fibroblasts to myoblasts, or re-differentiate rhabdomyosarcoma cells to myoblasts.진세노사이드 Rb1 및 Rb2를 함유하는 것을 특징으로 하는 근육 재생용 조성물로서, 상기 조성물은 근육위축증 또는 근육암을 치료 또는 예방하기 위한 약학적 조성물이거나, 근육위축증 또는 근육암을 개선 또는 완화하기 위한 식품 조성물일 수 있다. 상기 조성물은 근육전사인자인 MyoD의 활성을 조절하여 근원세포의 근관세포로의 분화를 유도하거나, 섬유아세포를 근원세포로 분화유도하거나, 횡문근육종 세포를 근원세포로 재분화시키는 것이다.
