PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an absorptive article, wherein the absorptive article in which a skin care agent is applied to a surface sheet is efficiently and continuously manufactured while preventing adhesion of the skin care agent to an unnecessary part of the absorptive article.SOLUTION: The present invention relates to the method for continuously manufacturing a disposable diaper 1 which is an example of the absorptive article, wherein a skin care agent 18 is applied to a surface sheet 10. The skin care agent 18 is semi-solid or solid at 20°C. The manufacturing method includes: an application step D of applying the skin care agent 18 in a molten state from its outer surface to the surface sheet 10 of a disposable diaper continuum 100 in which the disposable diaper 1 having the surface sheet 10 is continuous in a longitudinal direction and a cooling step E in which the applied skin care agent 18 is cooled from the side of the surface sheet 10 of the disposable diaper continuum 100 by means of a fluid before the disposable diaper continuum 100 is folded to a side of the surface sheet 10 to which the skin care agent 18 is applied.
