A system is provided for leveraging the power of the analysis of variabilityover time, and which uses an underlyingframework that can handle variability analyses across a distributed system ina consistent manner, in part by constructing a standardvariability data file that includes several manifestations of the underlyingdata acquired using variability monitoring. The consistentand standard data files, along with the underlying framework enables a user tomake use of a set of convenient display tools, whilea central entity can provide connectivity to the distributed environment andprovide a way to update the equipment and software toensure consistent and relevant analyses. The system can be extended into manyenvironments, including in-patient, out-patient andcompletely mobile/stand-alone users.
