PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable communication apparatus capable of facilitating the performance of communication in emergency.SOLUTION: A portable communication apparatus includes a housing, an imaging unit, a control unit, and a communication unit. The housing includes: a first end and a second end on the opposite side of the first end. The imaging unit is arranged at the first end. A microphone is arranged at the second end. The control unit is arranged in the housing. When the housing is detached from a holding part capable of holding the housing, the control unit allows the imaging unit to start an imaging operation and allows the microphone to start a sound detection operation. The communication unit is arranged in the housing.
