The present invention relates to a method for the treatment of an inflammatory bowel disease by the administration of the compound [4-(5-aminomethyl-2-fluorophenyl)piperidine-1-yl][7-fluoro-1-(2-methoxyethyl)-4-trifluoromethoxy-1H-indol-3-yl]methanone, which may be represented as Formula I:or a corresponding N-oxide, prodrug, pharmaceutically acceptable salt or solvate thereof.
