PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an externally fixing device adjustable to a certain degree by a patient itself.SOLUTION: The externally fixing device for widening the distance between two tightening members of an external fixing tool has a central inner rod 4 and an external hollow housing 5. The inner rod is movable in the axial direction. One end of the inner rod 4 protrudes exceeding one end of the housing 5 and serves to fix one tightening member. An adjusting member 10 is arranged on the other end of the housing 5, and is connected to the inner rod 4 and/or the external hollow housing 5. Thereby, the axial direction position of an inner shaft can be adjusted in relation to the housing by rotation of the adjusting member 10.
