PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air treatment device that can maintain stable deodorizing performance for a long time without forming an exhaust air trunk communicating the air treatment device and the outside of a room.SOLUTION: The air treatment device includes a body having air inlet and outlet, a blower disposed in the body and sucking the contaminated air including odor generating in using an electric heating device not accompanying combustion, from the inlet, a deodorizing means removing at least odor from the contaminated air sucked from the inlet, and a control means for controlling operations of the blower and the heater. The deodorizing means is composed of, at least, a deodorizing agent adsorbing the odor and oxidizing and decomposing the same, and the heater for heating the deodorizing agent to activate the same, and the control mean receives a signal for stopping the operation, and operate the blower while moving to a low-speed operation in which a rotational frequency is decreased with respect to that before receiving the signal.
