A paper diaper comprises a hydrophilic surface layer (1), a waterproof bottom layer (6), and a water-absorbing cotton core layer (2) between the hydrophilic surface layer (1) and the waterproof bottom layer (6). The hydrophilic surface layer (1) and the waterproof bottom layer (6) are adhered with each other at the outside of the two longitudinal ends of the water-absorbing cotton core layer (2). Each of the two lateral sides of the paper diaper is provided with a three-dimensional shield (3) for preventing side leakage. Elastic bands (5) capable of contracting longitudinally are mounted in the three-dimensional shield (3). The base of the three-dimensional shield (3) is directly adhered on the waterproof bottom layer (6). The two longitudinal ends of the three-dimensional shield (3) are adhered with the hydrophilic surface layer (1) at the outside of the two longitudinal ends of the water-absorbing cotton core layer (2). The contracting length of the elastic bands (5) in the three-dimensional shield (3) is longer than the longitudinal length of the water-absorbing cotton core layer (2). A water-absorbing layer (4) can be mounted at the corresponding longitudinal end of the water-absorbing cotton core layer (2). An elastic waistband (7) can be mounted at the lower surface of the waterproof bottom layer (6) or the upper surface of the hydrophilic surface layer (1).
