[Problem] To minimize uneven distribution of grass clippings within a grass clipping container in a lawn mower. [Solution] A lawn mower 1 comprising: a work section 5 having a downwardly open housing 21 and a cutting blade 22 that is rotatably provided to the interior of the housing, that mows grass by rotating, and that generates conveying air flowing inward from the opening in the housing； a grass clipping container 6 for accommodating mowed grass clippings； a grass clipping conveyance passage 38 for connecting the interior of the housing and the grass clipping container； a shutter device 40 provided with a shutter 41 for opening and closing the grass clipping conveyance passage and an actuator 42 that drives the opening and closing of the shutter； a control device 50 for controlling the shutter device； and a speed sensor 66 for detecting the travel speed of the lawn mower. The control device performs control for opening and closing the shutter device on the basis of the travel speed.
