PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wearing article which is applicable to a wide range of sizes, and a method for manufacturing the same.
SOLUTION: The wearing article 1 includes a back side part A arranged on the back side and an abdominal side part B arranged on the abdominal side of a wearer. The back side part A and the abdominal side part B include sheets (external bodies 26), and elastic members 7 and 8 are arranged in stretched states on the sheets at the back side part A and/or the abdominal side part B along the waist direction Y of the wearer. Stretch-processed parts P4 and P5 including the elastic members 6, 7 and 8 and formed by stretch-processing the sheets to confer extensibility are formed on the back side part A and/or the abdominal side part B. Preferably, the stretch-processed parts P4 and P5 extend substantially continuously over the whole length of the back side part A or the abdominal side part B in the direction perpendicular to the waist direction Y.
