PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fishing reel improved in the degree of freedom of the layout of internal mechanism parts inside its side plates, while having a construction enabling the side plates to be detached from the reel body.SOLUTION: The fishing reel where a spool 5 is rotatably supported in between the side plates of the reel body 1 is provided.
