PURPOSE: A deodorization device using chlorine dioxide and an ion exchange fiber and a method thereof are provided to be able to increase the removal efficiency by deodorizing the bad smell of complex components generated in food waste or livestock excretion with the combination of chlorine dioxide and an ion exchange fiber.CONSTITUTION: A deodorization device (1) using chlorine dioxide and an ion exchange fiber comprises a mixing device (10) of chlorine dioxide equipped with a first chlorine dioxide injection nozzle spraying chlorine dioxide to bad smell gas an ion exchange scrubber (20) formed with an ion exchange layer so that the bad smell gas having passed through the mixing device of chlorine dioxide passes and a regeneration fluid storage tank (30) storing the regeneration fluid discharged from the ion exchange scrubber.
