PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fishing reel capable of achieving weight saving while improving strength and formability.SOLUTION: In an inner surface of a cover member 3b fitted to a side part of a reel body 1, a plurality of partition parts 303-305 surrounded by ribs are formed around at least support parts 301, 302. The ribs comprise first ribs 31 extending around the support parts 301, 302 in a radial direction, and second ribs 32 continuous to the first ribs 31 and extending while forming an angle between the first rib 31.
