The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition for preventing and treating hearing damage. More particularly, the present invention relates to a composition comprising a peptide derived from telomerase, which is effective for treating and preventing hearing damage caused by an ototoxic drug. The peptide having the sequence of SEQ ID NO: 1 of the present invention, or a peptide having a sequence homology of 80% or more with the sequence or a fragment thereof has an excellent effect in the treatment and prevention of hearing damage caused by ototoxic drugs.
