PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for treating asthma by using multiple rounds of administration of ISS (immunostimulatory sequences) of one kind or more which confers long term disease modification.SOLUTION: The present invention provides a method for identifying biomarker proteins showing differential expression between a subject with primary pulmonary disease and a healthy subject or a subject with secondary pulmonary disease. The present invention also provides a composition containing these biomarker proteins and a method for diagnosing, classifying and monitoring various pulmonary diseases using these biomarker proteins or a panel thereof. The method and composition provided herein may be used for diagnosing or classifying a subject with lung cancer or a subject with noncancerous tumor so as to discriminate various cancers, (for example, malignant or benign, SCLC (small cell lung cancer) or NSCLC (non-small cell lung cancer)).【課題】長期の疾患修飾をもたらす１種又は複数の免疫刺激配列（ＩＳＳ）の反復投与を使用することによる、喘息の治療法を提供することを目的とする。【解決手段】第１の肺疾患を有する対象対健常な対象又は第２の肺疾患を有する対象における差次的な発現を示すバイオマーカータンパク質を同定する方法が提供される。また、これらのバイオマーカータンパク質を含む組成物、様々な肺疾患を診断し、分類し、監視するために、これらのバイオマーカータンパク質又はバイオマーカータンパク質パネルを用いる方法も提供される。本明細書において提供される方法及び組成物は、肺癌又は非癌性疾患を有する対象を診断又は分類し、種々の癌を（例えば、悪性対良性、ＳＣＬＣ対ＮＳＣＬＣ）を区別するために使用されてもよい。【選択図】なし
