Embodiments of the present invention provide a sensor system with improved low power features. Embodiments may include the transmission of sensor data from at least one transmitter unit to a receiver unit. The sensor data may flag the sensor data with a specific header ID to enable the receiver unit to route the sensor data to the low-power processing unit in the receiver unit without using the high-power application processor of the receiver units have. Embodiments may also provide a supplemental encryption layer for any encryption used in wireless protocols using a private encryption engine.
