A post mounting system comprises a post and at least one device for mountingto the post. The post is of a type that comprises a first elongate flange andat least one otherelongate projecting flange that projects from a proximal edge of the firstflange. A portion ofthe first flange is deformed to facilitate mounting of the device thereto. Thedevice is adaptedfor location at a given position along the first flange. Immediately uponbeing located in thegiven position, the device interacts with the deformed portion to resistlateral movement awayfrom the first flange. The device can comprise a body and projections thatextend from thebody to define a recess therebetween. Remote ends of the projections can bespaced from eachother by a distance that is less than a lateral width of the deformed portionof the flange priorto mounting the device to the post. The device can be configured such that itis able to bepositioned onto the post and receive the deformed portion of the flange in therecess to enablemounting of the device to the post.
