1. A dental film-forming composition comprising: i. The acrylate / octyl acrylamide copolymer, wherein the acrylate / octyl acrylamide copolymer is present in a weight amount of 5-30%, ii. One or more alkyl cellulose ethers, and iii. A solvent where the composition is orally acceptable. 2. The composition of claim 1, wherein the acrylate / octyl acrylamide copolymer is 2-propenoic acid, 2-methyl-, 2-methylpropyl ester, a polymer with 2-propenoic acid and N- (1,1,3,3-tetramethylbutyl) - 2-propenamide. 3. The composition of claim 1, wherein the acrylate / octyl acrylamide copolymer is present in an amount of more than 10% by weight. The composition of claim 1, wherein the one or more alkyl cellulose ethers comprises ethyl cellulose and hydroxypropyl cellulose. The composition of claim 4, wherein the ratio of ethyl cellulose to hydroxypropyl cellulose is from 2: 1 to 30: 1.6. The composition of claim 1, wherein the orally acceptable solvent is ethanol. The composition of claim 1, further comprising a bleaching agent. The composition of claim 7, wherein the whitening agent is selected from titanium dioxide, zinc oxide, hydroxylapatite, and a combination thereof. A composition according to claim 1, comprising one or more components selected from an antibacterial agent, a source of fluoride ions, a source of calcium or a basic amino acid.
