PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article which further improves a soft feel to a skin, has an excellent cushioning property, and enhances continuity of the soft feel and the excellent cushioning property.SOLUTION: In an absorbent article, an absorbent layer 2 includes a plurality of absorbent layer protruding parts and absorbent layer recess parts obtained by integrally shaping a skin contact surface side and a skin non-contact surface side in a thickness direction, and has a concavo-convexo shape by arranging the absorbent layer protruding part 21 and the absorbent layer recess part 22 alternately and adjacently in different directions that intersect in a plane view. The skin non-contact surface side of the absorbent layer protruding part forms an arch 81, and a void part 41 is provided between the absorbent layer and a leakage preventing layer 3. A joint part 51 to the leakage preventing layer 3 is provided only on the skin non-contact surface side of the absorbent layer recess part which is arranged in a distributed manner in a plane view by connecting the arches.
