The invention relates to a cosmetic process for treating perspiration and optionally the body odour associated with human perspiration and especially underarm odour, characterized in that it consists in applying to the surface of the skin a composition comprising, in a cosmetically acceptable medium, at least one tautening hydrophobic film-forming polymer chosen from: (i) polymers of interpenetrating polymer network type (ii) non-neutralized copolymers of (meth)acrylic acid and of N-tert- butylacrylamide and (iii) non-neutralized copolymers of vinyl acetate, vinyl or (meth)allylic ester and of unsaturated carboxylic acid of formula (I) that will be defined in greater detail later. The invention relates to the cosmetic use of at least one tautening hydrophobic film-forming polymer as defined above as an antiperspirant agent especially in a composition comprising a cosmetically acceptable medium.Linvention concerne un procédé cosmétique pour un traitement de la transpiration et éventuellement des odeurs corporelles associées à une transpiration humaine, notamment lodeur des aisselles.
