A tetrazolinone compound represented by formula (1): Wherein E represents a 5-membered aromatic heterocyclic group such as a pyrazolyl group, a thiazolyl group, or an imidazolyl group； R 4 and R 5 represent a hydrogen atom； R 6 represents an alkyl group having 1-12 carbon atoms； R 7 , R 8 , and R 9 represent a hydrogen atom； R 10 represents an alkyl group having 1-3 carbon atoms, or a haloalkyl group having 1-3 carbon atoms； Y represents an oxygen atom； and Q represents an oxygen atom, has excellent control activity against pests.
