An orthopaedic prosthesis for use in a hip replacement surgery. The orthopaedic prosthesis includes an elongated stem component that has a proximal body, a neck extending superiorly and medially from the proximal body and a tapered stem extending inferiorly from the proximal body. An anchor is positioned on the neck and is configured to be engaged by a surgical instrument.
