PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catheter that is developed to actively exchange heat with the body of a patient to thereby raise or lower the body temperature as needed.SOLUTION: A central venous line is supplied with a heat exchange element that is to be arranged with a heat exchange relation with the blood of the patient.
