PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a work apparatus for elevated type cultivation which can smoothly perform work by preventing a work machine from interfering with an outer frame of a planter when the work is continuously performed by the work machine onto a plurality of planters arranged adjacent to each other in a longitudinal direction.SOLUTION: A conveyance carriage 5 includes position detection parts 132, 133 for detecting an outer frame of a planter 2. When the position detection parts 132, 133 detect an outer frame of a planter 2 in movement of the conveyance carriage 5, a lifting device 94 moves a work machine 4 further upward than a top edge of the outer frame of the planter 2.
