PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a topical pesticidal formulation that can be used safely and that can avoid many common deleterious adverse effects of conventional topical pesticides.SOLUTION: The topical pesticidal formulation comprises: a first pyrethroid pesticide effective to kill fleas； a second pyrethroid pesticide effective to kill ticks； and an insect growth regulator (IGR). The topical pesticidal formulation may be packaged in one, or may be packaged such that the first and second pyrethroid pesticides are stored separately until the administration of the pesticidal formulation to animals. As a result of the combination of the first and second pyrethroid pesticides with the insect growth regulator, a pesticidal formulation whose pesticidal activity against fleas and ticks is enhanced as compared to the efficacy of the first and second pesticides when used alone, is to be prepared. Further, the combination of the first and second pyrethroid pesticides with the insect growth regulator brings about a pesticidal formulation that can advantageously minimize the total amount of the pesticides necessary for the effectiveness, while augmenting the pesticidal activity against fleas and ticks.【課題】安全に使用でき、かつ通常の局所殺虫剤の多くの共通の有害な副作用を回避できる局所殺虫製剤を提供する。【解決手段】局所殺虫製剤は、ノミを殺すために有効な第1のピレスロイド系殺虫剤、マダニを殺すために有効な第2のピレスロイド系殺虫剤、及び昆虫成長レギュレーター(IGR)を含む。局所殺虫製剤を一緒に包装するか、又は第1及び第2のピレスロイド系殺虫剤が該殺虫製剤の動物への投与前は別個に貯蔵されるように包装することができる。第1及び第2のピレスロイド系殺虫剤と昆虫成長レギュレーターの組合せの結果、単独で使用した第1及び第2の殺虫剤の効力に比べてノミ及びマダニに対する殺虫活性が向上した殺虫製剤が調製されることとなる。さらに、第1及び第2のピレスロイド系殺虫剤と昆虫成長レギュレーターの組合せは、ノミ及びマダニに対する殺虫活性が増強しながら、その有効性に必要な殺虫剤の総量を有利に最小化する殺虫製剤をもたらす。【選択図】なし
