PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide compositions and methods for suppressing proliferation of endometrium.SOLUTION: The subject matter of the invention relates to the field of hormone therapy. More specifically, the subject matter of the invention relates to methods of treating estrogen dependent symptoms such as endometrial hyperplasia and endometrial cancer in a female receiving estrogen and/or selective estrogen receptor modulator (SERM) therapy. The invention also relates to suppressing proliferation of endometrium. The invention also relates to treatment of pain associated with endometriosis. Also disclosed are compositions comprising progesterone antagonist for practicing the methods.
