Disclosed is an inhaler device for dispensing doses of medicament. The inhaler has means for receiving a compartment (42) containing medicament. Medicament extraction facilitating means locate medicament in a received compartment and thereby allow extraction of medicament from the compartment. The extraction facilitating means comprises (i) a first fluid pathway extending therethrough for directing extracted medicament to an outlet (114) of the inhaler and (ii) means which, in use, provides a second fluid pathway for directing fluid into the compartment past a sealing material of the compartment pierced by the extraction facilitating means.
