PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct artifacts generated by an object other than a subject and the image of the object itself when photographing the object together with the subject.SOLUTION: An X-ray diagnostic apparatus includes an X-ray source, an X-ray detector, and an image data generation part, and photographs an object different from a subject together with the subject. The X-ray source irradiates X-rays towards the subject. The X-ray detector detects the intensity of the X-rays penetrating the subject. The image data generation part generates X-ray images based on the intensity of the X-rays detected using the X-ray detector. Moreover, the X-ray diagnostic apparatus includes a correction object image detection part, and an image processing part. The correction object image detection part detects the image of the object or an image formed on the basis of a shape of the object from the X-ray images as a correction object image. The image processing part executes image processing to the correction object image so that a difference between the luminance value of the correction object image and the luminance value of a part adjacent to the correction object image becomes a prescribed value or less.【課題】被検体とあわせて被検体以外の物体を撮影する場合において、この物体により発生するアーチファクトや、この物体自体の像を補正可能とする。【解決手段】Ｘ線源と、Ｘ線検出器と、画像データ生成部と、を備え、被検体とあわせて被検体とは異なる物体を撮影するＸ線診断装置である。Ｘ線源は、被検体に向けてＸ線を照射する。Ｘ線検出器は、被検体を透過したＸ線の強度を検出する。画像データ生成部は、Ｘ線検出器で検出されたＸ線の強度に基づいてＸ線画像を生成する。また、Ｘ線診断装置は、補正対象像検出部と、画像処理部と、を備える。補正対象像検出部は、Ｘ線画像中から、物体の像、または物体の形状に基づき形成された像を補正対象像として検出する。画像処理部は、補正対象像の輝度値と、補正対象像に隣接する部分の輝度値との差が所定値以下となるように、補正対象像に対して画像処理を施す。【選択図】図２
