A pulse wave detecting device in which the accuracy of detection of a pressure pulse wave can be improved is provided. A biological information measuring device 100 includes: a pressure pulse wave detector 10 that presses a pressing surface 10a in which a pressure detecting element is formed, against the radial artery TD under the skin of the wrist H of a subject, and that detects a pressure pulse wave from the radial artery TD; and a housing 20 that accommodates the pressure pulse wave detector 10 in a state where the pressing surface 10a is exposed toward the wrist H. The housing 20 is configured so that a compression pressure which is exerted by the housing 20 in a state where the housing is attached to the wrist H, and which is applied onto the radial artery TD is smaller than a compression pressure which is exerted by the pressing surface 10a in the attachment state, and which is applied onto the radial artery TD.
