The present invention addresses the problem of providing a food defrosting/refrigerating storage chamber that is for defrosting or refrigerating and storing food in a space in which an electric field is formed, that prevents the management of wiring of a connection circuit from becoming complex even in the case where the number of voltage application devices is increased, and that can also easily handle malfunctions. In order to solve the above-described problem, the present invention comprises: a plurality of voltage application devices 4 that each have a voltage applying means 11 that applies an alternating current voltage between a pair of electrodes 8, 9; a power supplying device 6; and a connection circuit 41 that connects the power supplying device 6 and the plurality of voltage applying means 11 to each other. A space 16, in which food is to be disposed, is formed between the pairs of electrodes 8, 9. The connection circuit 41 includes a first distributing device 43 that distributes power from the power supplying device 6 to a plurality of locations and a second distributing device 44 that further distributes the distributed power to a plurality of locations. The power supplying device 6 includes a control unit 28 that controls the supply of power, and an output terminal 31 that is connected to an output side of the control unit 28 and outputs power to the first distributing device 43. The control unit 28 controls supply of power to the voltage applying means 11 via the output terminal 31.
