The present invention refers to the use of certain sulfated glycosaminoglycans for treatment or prevention of postpartum haemorrhage. The sulfated glycosaminoglycans have a reduced anticoagulant activity and are administered in combination with at least one uterotonic agent capable of promoting myometrial contractions of the uterus and thereby compress the vessels and cease the bleeding.La presente invención se refiere al uso de determinados glicosaminoglicanos sulfatados para tratamiento o prevención de la hemorragia postparto. Los glicosaminoglicanos sulfatados tienen una actividad anticoagulante reducida y son administrados en combinación con al menos un agente uterotónico capaz de promover contracciones del miometrio del útero y de ese modo comprimir los vasos sanguíneos y detener el sangrado.
