PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for stably and efficiently rearing an eel fingerling until the same grows into an elver and to provide a rearing device and a rearing container used in the method.SOLUTION: An eel fingerling rearing method: stores one or several eel fingerling which can be fed in each of a plurality of rearing containers； repeats feeding the eel fingerlings in the rearing containers and exchanging water therein at predetermined time intervals； decreases the number of eel fingerlings in each rearing container as the eel fingerlings grow up by increasing the number of rearing containers and allocating the eel fingerlings thereto； and rears one or several fingerling in each rearing container in a final rearing stage. A rearing device has: a disk-shaped turntable where the rearing containers are attached in an orderly manner； and a feeding unit and a water injection unit arranged above the rearing containers along revolving paths thereof. The rearing device repeats feeding and water injection every time the turntable revolves. The rearing container preferably has a cylindrical shape with a conical or semispherical bottom section and gaps at an upper section of a side wall for drainage.【課題】 ウナギ仔魚をシラスウナギに成長するまで安定的かつ効率的に飼育する方法及びその方法に用いる飼育装置並びに飼育用の容器を提供する。【解決手段】 複数個の飼育容器に摂餌可能なウナギ仔魚を１尾又は数尾収容し、所定の時間間隔を設けて容器内の仔魚への給餌と容器内の換水を行うことを繰り返す一方、仔魚の成長に合わせて容器の数を増加し、増加した容器へ仔魚を配分して容器内の仔魚の数を減少させ、飼育の最終段階では各容器内に仔魚を１尾又は数尾収容するようにして飼育する方法。円盤状のターンテーブルに上記の飼育容器を整列させて取り付けてあると共にその上方には容器が周回する路面に沿って給餌ユニットと注水ユニットを配置し、ターンテーブルが周回するごとに給餌と注水を繰り返すように設定してある飼育装置。飼育容器は底部を円錐状又は半球状に形成してあると共に側壁の上部に排水用の隙間を設けてある円筒状のものが好ましい。【選択図】 図２
