PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multiaxial bone anchoring device that comprises a receiving part for connecting a rod to a bone anchoring element.SOLUTION: A bone anchoring device comprises a receiving part 5 for connecting a rod 100 to a bone anchoring element 1. In the bone anchoring device, the receiving part comprises a first edge and a second edge, a central shaft extending by passing the first edge and the second edge, a passage extending along the central shaft from the first edge to the second edge, an upper member 8 having a recess 83 for receiving the rod by the first edge, and a lower member 10 having the passage axially extending from the first edge to the second edge. The lower member is capable of being connected to the upper member from the second edge of the upper member, and comprises a seat 92 for a head 3 of the bone anchoring element. Further, the receiving part comprises a pressurizing member 6 for applying pressure to an inserted head.
